About Lemondrop

Thank you for choosing Lemondrop! We're honored to care for your home.

How to Contact Us

Our Core Values

  • Connection – We are open, honest, and easy to reach.
  • Reliability — We do what we say we will.
  • Quality — We take pride in work done carefully and thoughtfully.
  • Integrity — We do the right thing, every time.

Trust & Safety

  • Fully employed — We hire only documented W-2 employees paid a Living Wage – never contractors, gig workers, or informal, under-the-table arrangements.
  • Background-checked — Every employee is thoroughly screened before they ever set foot in your home.
  • Insured & bonded — Your home and belongings are protected, every visit.
  • Covered by workers' compensation — Our team is fully protected on the job, so you're never liable for an on-site injury.

Changes & Cancellations

Changes made to a scheduled cleaning — including rescheduling, skipping, or cancelling — must be communicated to Lemondrop via email or text message, and are subject to the following fee schedule.

Our "no-penalty skips" exception applies; see the following section, "Pricing & Estimates," for an explanation of this policy.

When a cancellation fee is assessed, we use those funds to pay our technicians to provide no-cost cleaning service to charities, foster family homes, chemotherapy patients, and other deserving community members through our Lemonaid program. You can learn more about Lemonaid and nominate recipients at lemondropclean.com/giving-back.

Pricing & Estimates

  • Conditional pricing – Price estimates, whether received through our online booking form or otherwise, are based on the reported size and condition of homes. If the actual condition of a home varies significantly in size or condition from the information provided, the cost of services may change.
  • Interruptions – Additional charges may result if on-site interruptions significantly delay completion (e.g., the presence of other vendors such as movers).
  • Pricing changes – We review prices for each client at least annually, and prices may be periodically adjusted due to increased labor, supply, or operational costs. We will provide advance written notice of any changes.
  • Same-day and next-day booking – Same-day and next-day booking requests carry a $99 booking fee and cannot be booked online. Such services must be arranged with Lemondrop by calling us at (224) 585-7543.
  • Interim-based pricing – Our recurring pricing is interim-based, meaning the price is determined by the time elapsed since your last cleaning. Skipping or spacing out service may result in a different rate than your prior recurring rate, unless a "no-penalty skip" exception applies (see below).
  • No-penalty skips – We permit a limited number of "no-penalty skips" per year for our most loyal and frequent customers. Specifically, weekly clients may skip up to 4 visits per year, and biweekly clients up to 2 visits per year, without triggering a late-notice cancelation fee or interim-rate increase on the next visit, even if less than 24-hours' notice is provided. Skips beyond this allowance may shift the next visit to a higher rate tier.
  • No contractual term – Lemondrop does not lock its customers into contracts for recurring services. Recurring service may be paused, skipped, or ended at any time, with no advanced notice required from you, other than the 24-hours' notice we require for the cancelation of any individual service appointment. Cancelation fees will apply if the next service date is scheduled to occur within less than 24 hours from the time cancelation is requested. Recurring rates are not guaranteed if service is paused beyond the previously occurring appointment interval.

Home Access

  • While we love to see you in person, you do not need to be home when we arrive.
  • If you are not home during service, we encourage you to provide home access via an access code or a lockbox.
  • We do not retain physical keys or remotes to any home.
  • If you choose to leave your home accessible or unlocked, you assume responsibility for any security issues or damages that result from unauthorized entry.
  • We will make best efforts to follow the alarm code and instructions you provide in advance through our secure intake form. We are not responsible for any alarm charges that may result. Alternatively, you may choose to disarm your alarm system on service days.
  • If we cannot access the property at the scheduled time, we will attempt to contact you to gain access. If access cannot be obtained within 15 minutes, the cleaning will be canceled and a same-day cancellation fee will apply.

Parking

Parking must be available within 100–200 feet of the entrance before our arrival.

Please notify us in advance if permits are required. Parking fees incurred due to a lack of available parking will be billed to the client.

Weather

Severe weather can occasionally make it unsafe for our technicians to travel or work. If conditions make it unsafe for us to reach you, we'll let you know as soon as we're able and work with you to find a new date — no penalties of any kind will apply when Lemondrop initiates a weather-related reschedule.

Please keep driveways, walkways, and entryways clear of snow and ice so our technicians can access your home safely. If conditions at your home are unsafe upon arrival, we may need to reschedule, and standard cancellation fees may apply.

Safety

  • High Areas — Our technicians use extendable tools and devices to reach high areas, but there may be areas they cannot reach. Due to insurance restrictions and OSHA regulations, we do not use ladders, stools, or furniture to reach high areas.
  • Temperature — We kindly request that you keep your home between 65–74°F. Technicians may adjust the thermostat in order to work comfortably, and will always return it to the original setting. If the home is too hot or cold to work safely, we will reschedule and same-day cancellation fees will apply.
  • Utilities — Water and electricity must be on before we arrive. We do not touch breakers or adjust utility connections.
  • Firearms — Please secure firearms. If left out, technicians are required to inform their supervisor of the presence of the item. Typically, we will clean around such items without touching or moving them.
  • Valuables — Please secure cash, jewelry, medications, and important documents before your visit. We are not responsible for loss of items left in accessible areas.
  • Unsafe Conditions — If a technician feels unsafe due to inappropriate conduct, unsafe conditions, or aggressive pets, they may exercise their discretion to leave, and the full cleaning fee will apply.
  • Biohazards — We do not clean homes with biohazardous substances. Technicians may exercise their discretion not to clean a room, or part of one, due to the presence of biohazardous substances.
  • Illness — If anyone in the home has a contagious illness, please let us know before your scheduled visit so we can take appropriate precautions or help you reschedule.
  • Insects and pests — We do not clean homes with active infestations of pests, including but not limited to bed bugs, cockroaches, fleas, ticks, lice, rodents, ants, termites, wasps, hornets, bees, maggots, and flies. Discovery of an infestation during a visit may result in cancellation with the full fee applied. Future service may require proof of professional remediation.
  • Smoke — For the safety of our staff, we do not clean homes that have been smoked in.
  • Allergies and sensitivities – Please inform us of any allergies or sensitivities so we can adjust our products and tools, if necessary.
  • Security cameras and recording – We welcome clients' use of surveillance and recording devices in any part of their homes, other than bathrooms. All of our employees have signed a general consent to recordings under the Illinois Eavesdropping Law, 720 ILCS 5/14-2, which we maintain on file.
  • Confidentiality / "NDA" agreements – We recognize that many of our clients hold positions of professional or public significance, and that our employees may be occasionally exposed to sensitive documents, communications, or conversations. Our confidentiality practices are designed with this in mind. Every Lemondrop employee signs a general confidentiality agreement covering anything they see, hear, or otherwise learn about your home while providing service — from the layout and contents of your home to any personal or professional information they may come across. If you'd like an additional, client-specific confidentiality agreement signed, just let us know.

Pets

Lemondrop loves pets! Well-mannered pets are welcome to roam freely during our service time.

  • Anxious or excitable pets – Please secure anxious, skittish, or aggressive pets in a separate room or kennel before we arrive. If an aggressive or excited pet prevents access, we will reschedule, and cancellation fees may apply.
  • Doors and gates – While we are attentive with doors and gates, we do not assume responsibility for pets that exit the home or a specific room unexpectedly.
  • Pet care not included in Cleaning Services — We will not perform any pet care tasks, including letting animals in or out of the home, unless the service has been specifically requested as part of our Housekeeping service. We do not let pets in or out of the home during a Cleaning service appointment.
  • Pet tasks we do as part of Housekeeping – We are happy to perform the following pet-care tasks to care for your domesticated dogs and cats as part of our Housekeeping service, upon request: refilling water bowls, refilling food bowls with kibble or canned food, providing treats, opening doors for pets to go outside, letting pets back inside, replacing used pee-pads, and scooping cat litter boxes.
  • Pet tasks we don't do as part of Housekeeping – We do not perform the following pet-care duties: outdoor tasks, off-property or on-leash walks or activities, administering medication, handling any food other than canned food, kibble, or conventional treats (i.e., we do not handle raw food), bathing or grooming, cleaning up pet waste or bodily fluids of any kind found outside of litterboxes or pee pads, removing pet waste from lawn, patio, or other areas, or performing pet care tasks for any animals other than domesticated dogs and cats (including but not limited to ferrets, rodents, reptiles, snakes, feral outdoor cats, and farm animals).
  • No outdoor pet tasks – If letting a pet outdoors is selected as a Housekeeping service task, Lemondrop will let the pet in and out of the home, only. We will not accompany a pet outdoors or perform outdoor waste management or clean-up, and we cannot be responsible for the pet's outdoor containment or safety.
  • Pet waste — Our Cleaning service does not include removal or cleaning of pet waste of any kind. If pet services are requested as part of our Housekeeping service, we will perform the indoor tasks of: basic litter box scooping for cats; and pee-pad removal/changing for small dogs. Pet waste outside of these areas will not be handled, even if indoors.
  • Technician discretion – Lemondrop technicians may exercise their discretion to decline to handle or approach any animal showing aggression or displaying any other behavior that demonstrates a safety risk.
  • Bites – If an animal bite occurs, it will be reported to authorities. The homeowner is responsible for any resulting medical costs.
  • Vaccinations – We expect that all pets are up to date on rabies and other relevant vaccinations. Clients agree to provide proof of vaccinations if requested.

Smoke-Free Policy

We do not service homes with evidence of indoor smoking or vaping of any substance (tobacco, cannabis, e-cigarettes, etc.). If detected upon arrival, the visit will be cancelled and the full fee will be assessed.

Lemondrop technicians are prohibited from smoking or vaping on client property at any time.

Insurance & Compliance

Our field managers inspect technician teams on a regular basis, during or after service, to ensure quality standards are met.

Because our technicians are W-2 employees of Lemondrop, we take care of all payroll taxes, withholdings, and insurance, so you don't have to worry about domestic worker taxes.

Technicians may not perform tasks outside of scheduled appointment times, tasks outside the normal scope of Lemondrop's work, and/or last-minute requests. Such variations from policy interfere with appointments for other clients, are not authorized, and are not covered by our insurance.

Damages & Breakage

We take every effort to ensure your belongings are protected from damage. In the rare instance that something in your home is damaged during cleaning, contact us within 24 hours of your cleaning and we will immediately investigate and work toward a fair resolution. We are insured and bonded for your peace of mind.

You are responsible for informing Lemondrop of special circumstances in your home that could contribute to unintended damage, including but not limited to surfaces and items that are: compromised or had been previously damaged, broken, improperly installed, left in an unsuitable or unsafe location, or otherwise require extra caution. Failure to inform Lemondrop of circumstances that could contribute to unintended damage may relieve Lemondrop of liability if damage occurs.

The following types of damage are not the responsibility of Lemondrop Cleaning Co.:

  • Normal wear and tear (e.g., carpet loops catching on vacuum rollers)
  • Pre-existing instability — loose, wobbly, cracked, chipped, or improperly installed items
  • Unsealed or worn finishes that react to moisture or standard cleaning methods
  • Surfaces requiring specialty care when instructions were not provided in advance
  • Damage caused by client-provided cleaning products or tools

Our Services

Lemondrop offers three distinct services, each suited to a different need. Exclusions for individual services are intentional and often demanded by our insurer and regulating bodies; we do not grant exceptions.

Cleaning is care of surfaces, floors, and the things you touch every day. It's what keeps a home sanitary and fresh, week to week. You can read more about it at lemondropclean.com/residential-cleaning. Our standard cleaning service does not include decluttering, doing dishes, or pet care, though these can be added via our Housekeeping service (see below). Pricing is generally flat-rate, unless you are booking a specialty service like Moving, Deep Clean, or a Custom Cleaning project – those services are billed hourly. Read more about them at lemondropclean.com/residential-cleaning#specialty

Examples: dusting, vacuuming, and mopping; sanitizing high-touch points like light switches and doorknobs; cleaning kitchen counters and appliance exteriors; scrubbing bathrooms; and making beds.

Housekeeping is everything else that keeps a home running day to day — putting things away into existing storage systems, doing dishes, washing and folding laundry, food prep, pet care — the small stuff that piles up. Housekeeping is not intended to be a substitute for Cleaning Services, and cleaning tasks are limited to basic wipe-downs and resets of specific spaces. Housekeeping can be booked as a standalone service, or added to your cleaning service appointments in half-hour increments. A two-hour minimum applies to any day's worth of Housekeeping; a smaller amount of time may be available as an "Add-On" to a Cleaning service appointment, see our booking form for details. Learn more about Housekeeping by Lemondrop at lemondropclean.com/housekeeping.

Examples: washing/drying/loading dishes, laundering and folding linens, letting pets in or out, cleaning litter boxes, light meal prep, putting away clutter into existing storage.

Organizing is a customized process: an item-by-item assessment, a system built around how you actually use the space, guidance on storage and capacity, and hands-on implementation. It's performed exclusively by Lemondrop's organizing consultants, who bring specific training and experience to that work. Learn more at lemondropclean.com/organizing.

Examples: sorting and decision-making on keep/donate/discard, designing new storage systems, labeling, container sourcing recommendations, and full hands-on implementation of the plan.

Service Limitations

Pre-existing conditions

We work diligently to clean all accessible surfaces, but we do not provide restoration services, nor can we guarantee a return to like-new condition. Pre-existing conditions outside our responsibility include:

  • Hard water etching on glass or stone
  • Permanent or long-standing grout staining or discoloration
  • Rust stains or mold/mildew that has extended into grout or behind caulk
  • Post-cleaning mold/mildew stains that cannot be treated with mold/mildew stain removers due to the sensitive nature of the surface (e.g., mildew staining on natural stone)
  • Sun fading on surfaces or fabrics
  • Paint failure or peeling
  • Damaged, unsealed, or worn finishes on wood, wood veneers, stone, tile, cabinetry, etc.

Additional Information About Specific Surfaces & Tasks

  • Showers, Tubs & Tile — Surface stains from mold and other build-up may lighten with cleaning; complete removal from grout, caulk, and specialty stone surfaces often requires specialty maintenance or regrouting/recaulking and sealing by a restoration professional.
  • Grout and Textured Flooring — We damp mop thoroughly as part of our standard cleaning service. We do not perform grout scrubbing, grout whitening, or extraction from textured flooring as part of our general cleaning services. Such services may be requested as an hourly-billed Custom Cleaning project. Even as a Custom Cleaning project, however, we are not restorative specialists, and our role will be to clean and brighten relevant areas as much as possible using standard cleaning techniques and products, with no specific results guaranteed.
  • Natural Stone & Specialty Finishes — Please tell us in advance if your home has special materials (i.e., slate floors, copper sinks, granite sinks, or marble flooring) so we can adjust methods or, if necessary, skip a surface to prevent damage.
  • Hard Water Build-Up – Hard water build-up is removable with acidic chemicals that break down calcium and other minerals. For this reason, we may not be able to adequately address hard water build-up on or near some natural stone surfaces, such as calcareous stones (e.g., marble, travertine, and limestone), as the build-up is chemically indistinguishable from the underlying surface and removing one often necessarily removes the other. Similarly, we may avoid attempting to remove hard water build-up from delicate fixtures (e.g., black matte, oil-rubbed bronze, and brushed nickel) because removing hard water build-up from these surfaces often cannot be accomplished without damaging the living finish or electroplated surface underneath. All efforts will be made to clean these surfaces without the use of acidic hard water build-up removers and harsh abrasives, but results can never be guaranteed.
  • Windows — Window cleaning is not included in our standard cleaning service beyond basic dusting of blinds and sills; they may be included in a Deep Clean or requested as a Custom Cleaning project. When windows are included in a specialty service, we clean the interior glass, sills, trim, and moldings. We do not clean the exterior glass of windows or the tracks, even if the window folds inward, nor do we remove screens. These limitations are required by our insurer.
  • Glass – We clean glass doors (i.e., French doors with glass panels), glass walls, and glass panels as part of our standard service, so long as they are reachable with our tools. If a home possesses glass features, walls, or fixtures beyond that anticipated in a typical home, pricing may be adjusted.
  • Doors and Walls – We dust door frames and trim, but a full, detailed door and wall cleaning is not included as part of our standard service. They may be requested as part of a Custom or Deep Clean.
  • Light Fixtures — We dust accessible bulbs and reachable light fixture exteriors only. We do not remove covers, bulbs, or disassemble fixtures.
  • Large Appliances and Furniture — We do not move stoves, refrigerators, or other large appliances, or disconnect any utilities. You may wish to move large appliances or furniture yourself for us to clean behind or underneath them.
  • Beds & Linens — We make beds as part of standard cleaning. Leave fresh fitted sheets, flat sheets, and pillowcases on the bed and we'll change them. We do not change duvet covers. We will not wash the linens that are present on the beds and then re-make beds with the same linens during the same appointment; a full set of replacement linens must be available at the start of the appointment. We are happy to start the washing machine with soiled linens at no additional charge; please leave instructions. If you would like linens folded after they have been washed and dried, our standard laundry fee of $24 per folded load will apply.
  • Duvet Covers – We do not change duvet covers.
  • Bunk and Loft Beds – We will attempt to change linens on bunked and lofted beds if possible. If this cannot be performed safely, we will let you know.
  • Curtains and Other Soft Objects – We do not change, replace, remove, wash, dry, iron, vacuum, lint-roll or otherwise handle curtains, drapes, valances, sheers, room dividers, doorway beads or decorations, tapestries, bed skirts, hammocks, swings, aerial silks, stuffed animal nets, or stuffed animals.
  • Collections — Due to the delicate and valuable nature of many collectors' items, we do not dust or handle collections or collectors' items.
  • Bars, Barware & Alcohol — We clean accessible surfaces and major fixtures in a bar area (e.g., sink, decor, countertops). We typically do not dust or handle bottles or displayed glassware or barware. This service is available as a Custom Cleaning project by request; if selected, Lemondrop is not responsible for any breakages, deterioration, or discoloration to bottles, ingredients, tools, or labels.
  • Vacuums — We bring our own, but if you'd prefer we use yours, please let us know in advance. If you choose this option, you agree that Lemondrop will not be held responsible for any damage that occurs with, by, or to your personal vacuum.
  • Dishes — Our standard cleaning service does not include washing, drying, or putting away dishes, or loading/unloading the dishwasher. Please ensure the sink is clear of dishes so it can be cleaned. Dish service may be selected as part of our Housekeeping service.
  • Fridge and Freezer – Our standard cleaning service does not include the detailing of the interior of a refrigerator and freezer. This service may be selected as an Add-On. We do not defrost freezers.
  • Kids' items – Our standard cleaning service does not include a detailed cleaning (beyond basic dusting, if necessary) of high chairs, booster seats, toddler potties, potty-training seats, toys, toy bins, dollhouses, step-stools, climbing structures, swings, slides, tents, or other specialty children's items. You may choose to add a detailed cleaning of such items to a Housekeeping appointment or a Custom Cleaning service.
  • Other special circumstances — We instruct our technicians to exercise caution and discretion with items that appear irreplaceable and/or of significant value — collectors' items, artwork, sculptures, pianos, grandfather clocks, antiques, chandeliers, delicate light fixtures, shrines, religious fixtures and displays, and musical instruments. In these instances, our technicians may dry dust or skip the item entirely to avoid unintended damage. Please let us know about special items, newly sealed surfaces, or valuables/heirlooms so we can clean around them.
  • No outdoor tasks – As a general rule, Lemondrop does not perform outdoor services other than bringing in mail or packages that are a reasonable size and weight, upon request. We do not perform outdoor duties such as, but not limited to, the following: sweeping or cleaning outdoor spaces (including but not limited to screened-in patios, porches, outdoor walkways, outdoor steps or landings, lanais, gardens, wrap around porches, gazebos, pergolas, boathouses, garages, or sheds), setting up or turning on sprinklers or other lawncare equipment, watering outdoor plants, performing any type of gardening, or mowing lawns.
  • Plants – We dust plant stands and the exterior of pots as part of our standard Cleaning services. Additional plant care may be booked as part of Housekeeping services. We perform basic plant care as part of this service: rotation, watering, pruning, and simple fertilizing with instructions from you. We do not perform leaf-by-leaf cleaning or dusting.
  • Taxidermy – We do not clean taxidermy of any kind.
  • Bright Cobalt Blue or Purple Ovens — Ovens with a bright cobalt blue or purple enamel interior coating are cleaned using the manufacturer's steam-clean or self-clean setting only, per manufacturer specifications. The client must supply the manufacturer's cleaning instructions in advance. We do not manually scrub the interior or use any cleaning product inside these ovens, as doing so can void the manufacturer's warranty and risks damaging the enamel coating. Results cannot be guaranteed. We're happy to clean the exterior and accessible surfaces as part of your standard visit.
  • Vinyl and Plastic Mini/Microblinds — We dust accessible blind slats as part of our standard service using a duster or microfiber tool. Detailed slat-by-slat cleaning, wet-cleaning, or removal of blinds is not included, due to the risk of breakage to these delicate fixtures; this may be requested as a Custom Cleaning project, performed at the client's risk.

Housekeeping Limitations

  • Care tasks not included — For safety and insurance reasons, Housekeeping does not include childcare of any kind, elder care, walking assistance, or home health care tasks.
  • Meal service — We prepare food as part of Housekeeping, but we do not serve it; there is no waitress-style meal service.
  • Lifting and physical assistance — We are not able to help with lifting or other "give me a hand" requests.
  • Third-party vendor transactions — We do not handle transactions with other vendors on your behalf, such as paying a landscaper.
  • Mail & Packages — We are happy to bring in mail and packages of a reasonable size and weight, shred junk mail, stage packages for you, and break down and remove boxes. We do not accept or sign for deliveries.

Housekeeping Scheduling

  • Days & hours — Housekeeping visits are available Monday through Friday. Each day requires a minimum of two labor hours and a maximum of twelve labor hours.
  • Arrival window — Housekeeping appointments fall between 8:00 AM and 3:00 PM. You'll receive a text with a 2-hour arrival window the morning of your appointment.
  • Auto-renew — Recurring ("auto-renew") Housekeeping plans repeat week after week until paused or cancelled. To pause or cancel an upcoming week, notify Lemondrop by text no later than 5:00 PM on the Friday before that service week.

Payment

  • Card on file – We accept major debit/credit cards only. We retain a card on file for each client. By accepting service, you authorize card storage and charging under these terms.
  • Deposit – First-time and occasional services require a 50% deposit — fully refundable with 24+ hours' notice. If cancelled with less notice, the deposit is applied toward the cancellation fee (see our cancellation fee schedule, above). In cases where a deposit is made in advance, the remaining balance is charged to the card on file at the completion of service. Deep Cleaning and Move-In/Move-Out appointments, as specialty services, also require a 50% deposit upon booking.
  • Balance due upon completion – For all other services, including regular recurring maintenance cleaning, the card on file is charged at the completion of service.
  • Declined cards – If your card on file is declined at the completion of service, we'll send you an invoice, and payment will be required within 1 business day.
  • Tips – Tips are optional, deeply appreciated, and go directly to your technician. Please clearly label any cash tips with a note reading "Tip" — our technicians are not permitted to remove unlabeled cash from a home. You may also add a tip at the conclusion of service.
  • Referral Program – Lemondrop's client referral program rewards current customers for recommending Lemondrop to friends and family. Referred clients receive $50 off their first service, and the referring client receives a $50 credit toward their next service once the referred client's first service appointment is completed. Referred clients must be entirely new to Lemondrop; Lemondrop reserves the right to refuse to honor attempts at redeeming referral credits if it is determined that the referred client is not new or other abuse of the program has occurred. There is no limit on the number of referrals a client may make or how many $50 credits they may earn. Only one $50 credit may be applied to any single Cleaning appointment or Housekeeping week.

Photos & Videos

  • Training – Lemondrop takes before and after photos and videos for quality control and internal training purposes. Training photos and videos are never shared or released publicly.
  • Marketing – We greatly appreciate the opportunity to use non-identifiable photos for marketing purposes, but you can opt out at any time. Marketing content consists of before-and-after images or demonstrations of a cleaning procedure or method. No identifying information or location data will be captured or revealed.
  • We don't sell – Photos and videos will never be sold or given to third parties.

Legal Notices

Non-Solicitation

By using Lemondrop services, you agree not to solicit, hire, or engage any Lemondrop Cleaning Co. employee for private cleaning or related services during your service or within 12 months after it ends. We reserve the right to pursue legal action against clients who solicit employees and to seek liquidated damages in the amount of $2,000 to represent the cost of Lemondrop's investment in its employee.

Arbitration and Class Actions

These Terms and Conditions represent your agreement with Lemondrop Cleaning Co., and any dispute arising out of or relating to it or to the services provided by Lemondrop Cleaning Co. shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms and Conditions, the services provided, or the relationship between the parties — including disputes about the validity, enforceability, or scope of this arbitration clause — shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association ("AAA") under its Consumer Arbitration Rules then in effect, rather than in court, except as set forth below. The arbitration shall be conducted by a single arbitrator and shall take place in Cook County, Illinois, unless the parties agree otherwise in writing. The arbitrator's decision shall be final and binding, and judgment on the award may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction. Notwithstanding the foregoing, either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court in Cook County, Illinois, if the claim qualifies for that court's jurisdiction, in lieu of arbitration. Each party shall bear its own costs and attorneys' fees in connection with any arbitration, except as otherwise required by the AAA Consumer Arbitration Rules or applicable law. All disputes shall be resolved on an individual basis only; neither party may bring a claim as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, collective, or representative proceeding.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found by a court or arbitrator of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, or if it cannot be so modified, severed from these Terms and Conditions. The remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. These Terms and Conditions, together with any service-specific terms referenced herein (including but not limited to Deep Cleaning and Move-In/Move-Out terms available at lemondropclean.com/terms), constitute the entire agreement between the client and Lemondrop Cleaning Co. regarding the services described, and supersede all prior or contemporaneous understandings, representations, or agreements, whether written or oral, relating to the same subject matter.

Assignment

Lemondrop Cleaning Co. may assign, transfer, or delegate its rights and obligations under these Terms and Conditions, in whole or in part, without notice or consent — including in connection with a sale, merger, reorganization, or transfer of the business. The client may not assign or transfer these Terms and Conditions without Lemondrop's prior written consent.

Electronic Signature Consent

By acknowledging acceptance of these Terms and Conditions electronically, you consent to the use of electronic records and signatures, and agree that your electronic signature is the legal equivalent of your handwritten signature and constitutes your binding acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

Warranty Disclaimer

Lemondrop Cleaning Co. provides its services as described in these Terms and Conditions. Except as expressly stated herein, Lemondrop makes no other warranties, express or implied, regarding the services provided, including but not limited to any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. Lemondrop does not guarantee that every cleaning will meet every client's personal or subjective standard of cleanliness, though we welcome feedback under our Satisfaction Guarantee above.

Termination

Lemondrop reserves the right to decline, suspend, or terminate service to any client at its discretion, including but not limited to instances of repeated late or declined payment, abusive or unsafe conduct toward our employees, or conditions in the home that repeatedly prevent our technicians from safely or effectively performing services. Any termination of a client relationship by Lemondrop for good cause will result in the client's forfeiting of any deposit and/or balance owed at the time of termination.

Consent to Updated Terms

We reserve the right to modify, update, or amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. The most current version will always be maintained and accessible on our website at lemondropclean.com/terms. For minor or administrative updates, posting the revised terms to our website constitutes effective notice. For material updates, we will provide at least 30 days' advance notice via email or text message. Your continued scheduling, acceptance of cleaning services, and/or payment following the effective date of any modification constitutes your express acceptance of the updated terms. If any conflict exists between copies of these terms, the current version posted on our website controls.

Satisfaction Guarantee

We want you to be absolutely delighted. If anything falls short, contact us within 24 hours of your service and we will make it right. We do not refund payment.
