Our Founder
Hi! I’m Rayna Styles—a lawyer and mom of two girls on Chicago’s Northwest Side. After 20 years as a government attorney and corporate litigator, I decided to jump head first into a passion project and start a small cleaning business from scratch. I am utterly obsessed with crisp lines, aesthetic organization, and the profound peace that happens when a space is in order. When the physical clutter clears, the mental noise goes with it, giving you the breathing room to focus on what matters most. I wanted to bring that relief to others and create an incredible place to work at the same time.
As a busy mom with a full-time career, I had been a consumer of professional cleaning services myself, but I always found the logistics stressful. Dealing with phone tag, awkward conversations about how underwater I really was, and the dreaded “pre-clean cleaning” — clearing my sink of dishes and picking up every tiny Lego before my cleaners arrived. Honestly, I needed help with so much more than just cleaning! I knew I could design a service that helps busy people without making their lives harder in the process.
My background as a lawyer made me an unconventional founder. I wasn’t bound by "how it’s always been done." Instead, I set out to design the service that I always wanted — a simple, all-in-one, tech-forward home management platform. I made premium cleaning with built-in extras our flagship service, with easy access to more generalized housekeeping and professional organization. No complex menus, no decision fatigue, no hassles — just total home support bookable online in minutes. As a busy working mom, this is the service I had always wished existed.
To make it happen, I brought a hyper-analytical, systematic approach to Lemondrop—from interrogating product labels for chemical safety to developing the most efficient workflows and systems. I also decided to stray from industry tradition and go all-in on innovative technology. By doing so, we maximize efficiency and direct more resources into paying our incredible staff high wages. For too long, domestic work — traditionally dominated by women — has been devalued and underpaid. We’re changing that narrative. At Lemondrop we’re not just cleaning—we’re setting precedent for how boutique home care should be done.
As an attorney and now entrepreneur, I know the mental weight of a busy life. I founded Lemondrop because I believe a clean space isn’t just a luxury—it’s mental healthcare. It’s sanity. It’s a deep exhale and a weekend of spending time with your kids instead of mopping floors. My goal is to provide a completely frictionless, premium experience for busy professionals with demanding jobs and hectic family calendars. This matters a lot to me, because I am one of those people. I’m so excited to give you that breath of fresh air.
Welcome to easy.
